Sue is an experienced massage therapist, specializing in sports massage therapy. Her involvement with the College over the first 8 years of the College was as Head of Sports and she taught on both the sports and therapeutic massage programs.
Sue joined the WTA Tour (the professional women’s tennis tour) in 1999 initially as a Core Massage Therapist and then from 2004 accepted a position in management with the Tour in the Sport Sciences & Medicine Department. Sue was the first Director of Massage Therapy in professional sports in the world - her role to coordinate the massage programme and massage therapists throughout the 63 countries women’s tennis was played in. During her ten years on the Tour, Sue had the benefit, and privilege, to work alongside some of the worlds finest Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists and Sports Medicine Doctors. The athletes were pretty good too!
Sue resigned from her position with the WTA Tour in January 2009 to head NZCM with Bernie Bevin.
